Adding Your Address
Some requests legally require your address. Learn when Paperless asks for it and how to manage it afterwards.
Some requests require your address for legal reasons. For data protection reasons, Paperless does not store your address by default — it is only recorded if you add it.
When Paperless Asks for Your Address
If a request needs your address and Paperless does not have it yet, you will see the following notice before you fill in the request:
Your address is required for this application
For legal reasons, your address must be available for this application. For data protection reasons, however, we have not yet stored this information.
You will be offered two options:
- If you log in with RWTH Sign-In — Your address can be added automatically from the RWTH Sign-In. Click Add address and it will be stored for you.
- If you have a local account (for example, as an external student) — You can add your address to your profile. Click Add address, enter your details, and save them.
Managing Your Address
You can only add your address when a request requires it — as described above. Without such a request, it cannot be stored, and the Address entry does not appear in the profile menu.
Once an address is stored, you will find it under the profile icon at the top right, in the left menu under Address (under Personal). There you can view it, change it and confirm with Save, or remove it with Delete these details.
