Handing Over to the ZPA
How to submit a signed decision to the central examination office (ZPA) and what happens afterwards.
Some requests are processed by your office and the central examination office (ZPA) together. For these requests, your office prepares and signs the decision; the ZPA then records the decision in RWTHonline.
Submitting the Decision to the ZPA
- Draft and sign the decision as described in Processing a Request.
- Open the Publish menu and choose Submit to ZPA. The option is only available while the request has no ZPA state yet and the decision is signed.
- The ZPA state of the request is set to Was received and the people responsible at the ZPA are notified.
What Happens Next
The ZPA checks the decision and enters it into RWTHonline. Once this is done, someone at the ZPA records it in Paperless with the action ZPA did record this decision, which sets the ZPA state to Decision was recorded.
This recording in RWTHonline is also what the student sees: their request then shows the additional ZPA status.
Finalizing
Once the ZPA has recorded the decision, you can finish processing: set the staff state to Is complete where appropriate, and answer any follow-up questions from the student in the conversation with the student — see Sending Messages on a Request.
