Creating a Request for a Student
How staff can prepare a request for a student and what the student sees when they accept or reject it.
Usually, students submit requests themselves. In some cases, however, staff create the request first and the student only confirms it — for example, when the student’s own data is not yet complete or the request is a consequence of an administrative process.
Creating the Request
- Open Requests in the left navigation bar and click New Request.
- Choose the request type and fill in the fields that Paperless asks for on your side. The fields for the student are filled in by you — the student cannot change them.
- Enter the e-mail address of the student the request is for.
- Submit the creation. You will see the confirmation The application was successfully created.
What the Student Sees
The student receives an e-mail with the subject A new request has been created for you. The e-mail links to the request in Paperless. The student then sees the page Application ready for submission with the text that an application has been prepared for them, that they can review the details and submit it, and that it will then be processed by the responsible persons.
The student has two options:
- Submit application — the request becomes active for the student and is processed normally from here on. The student is then the one who submitted the request, and your office processes it as described in Processing a Request.
- Reject application — the student does not want the request. The request is not created for them and is returned to you.
What You See
You are informed in both cases:
- E-mail Application accepted: Your request “…” submitted for another person has been accepted by that person.
- E-mail Application rejected: Your request “…” submitted for another person has been rejected by that person.
Both events also appear in your Overview as Application was accepted or Application was rejected.
